The Folklore Connect Launches V.BELLAN at Online Retailer Revolve


The Folklore Connect is delighted to announce that it has successfully launched its first brand at enterprise retailer Revolve. Vanessa Bellan’s eponymous jewelry brand V.BELLAN is now available to purchase at fashion retailer Revolve. The discovery of the New York brand was facilitated by The Folklore Connect‘s wholesale platform, where designers and retail buyers can connect and build lasting partnerships. 

V.BELLAN joins Revolve’s selection of more than 1,000 designers, including an expanded assortment of Black-owned and diverse brands. A selection of V.BELLAN’s gold-plated earrings and cuffs as well as its statement chain link and pearl necklace are now available to purchase on the retailer’s site.

Founded by Bellan in 2016 and relaunched during the pandemic in 2020, V.BELLAN is a gender-neutral jewelry brand offering statement earrings, chain link necklaces, sleeve cuffs and more, made from gold, sterling silver and brass. The brand’s pieces have been featured in Forbes and WWD, and worn by the likes of Issa Rae and actor Delroy Lindo.

The chance to connect with retailers and buyers to grow her wholesale business was one of the main reasons Bellan joined The Folklore Connect. V.BELLAN was also one of 15 Black-owned brands that was showcased at the NYFW Showroom hosted by Connect and RAISEfashion, as well as at Coterie earlier this year.

“My main reason for [joining Connect] was for the opportunity to work with a company that sees the beauty and potential in Black designers’ work—and wants to help us achieve greatness,” says Bellan. Connect provides opportunities for designers to connect directly with buyers from all over the world, which I have not seen from any wholesale showroom.”

One of the enterprise retailers partnered with The Folklore Connect, Revolve is the next-generation fashion retailer for millennial and Gen Z consumers. As a go-to online source for discovery and inspiration, Revolve’s curated offering spans more than 49,000 apparel, footwear, accessories and beauty styles from both emerging and established brands.

In recent years, Revolve has increased its focus on expanding diversity, which has led to a significant expansion of BIPOC-owned brands across its assortment. In 2021, Revolve dedicated a section of its website to highlight Black-owned brands, which has increased by 45% since 2020. Revolve is committed to taking action to support meaningful, lasting change by using the power and impact of its brand voice to stand up against racism and inequality in the fashion industry.
