The Folklore Connect New York Fashion Week Showroom Returns for the SS24 Season


The Folklore Connect is set to host its second New York Fashion Week Showroom, powered by Shopify, from September 7-10. Following on from the first successful showroom earlier in the year in February, which welcomed more than 800 buyers, stylists and media professionals, the event serves as a continuation of The Folklore’s commitment to showcasing the work of diverse designers and highlighting their creative contributions to the fashion industry.

Taking place at Shopify’s two-story space in SoHo, New York, the showroom will present the latest collections from 15 of our designers across apparel, footwear and accessories, enabling retailers to discover and source diverse and sustainable brands in global markets from Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa, and Colombia to London, New York, Atlanta and Toronto.

The brands that will be showcasing their spring/summer 2024 collections include New York jewelry designers V.BELLAN and Chee Lee, Lagos-based womenswear brands Rendoll, KADIJU, Oríré, and Elexiay, as well as footwear labels Shekudo and Tejahn Burnett. Also on display will be accessories from EDAS and AAKS, contemporary designs by ISRAELLA KOBLA, RP New York, SELFI and The Lulo Project, as well as eyewear from Wisdom.

The Showroom will open on September 7, with a panel of industry experts who will share insights for emerging brands embarking on their wholesale journey and how to attract retailer interest.
