What This Position Is All About
The Private Client Sales Manager is responsible for developing and overseeing The Folklore’s new private VIP client sales program. They will be responsible for recruiting and leading a team of private client stylists, who value the relationships they build with our most valuable clients, motivating them to achieve and exceed individual sales and company commercial targets.
In this role, you’ll partner with functional leaders to design and implement The Folklore’s private client strategy, aiming to engage and drive customer loyalty. Through a variety of engagement and selling activities, you’ll ensure a seamless, exceptional luxury shopping experience for our top tier customers. The ideal profile is someone with strong commercial acumen, a deep knowledge of luxury fashion, and experience of managing sales.

You Also Have
5+ years of luxury retail fashion sales experience (required)
4-year bachelor’s degree a plus but not required
Proven track record achieving high sales results
Strong pre-existing relationships with customers in our target market (required)
History of building, leading, motivating, and coaching sales teams to achieve objectives
Business acumen and analytical skills (sales analytics, business strategy, knowledge of market)
Excellent oral and written communication skills, and strong attention to detail
Deep knowledge of current, international fashion trends, our designers and products, and the wants and needs of luxury customers.
As The Sales Manager, Clienteling, You Will
Analyze, manage and review selling activity and KPI’s, continuously reviewing performance against set objectives, identifying potential efficiency improvements and determining solutions for at-risk areas.
Build, lead, motivate and develop a team of luxury personal stylists/shoppers, providing guidance and direction to help improve their sales techniques and clienteling with new, existing and lapsed private clients, to grow and retain our top clients.
Provides input on strategic objectives for the digital and in-person experiences for clients; organize and host client engagement activities (e.g. meals, events, styling appointments, shopping experiences, etc.)
Source and create connections with private clients and provide exceptional customer service by anticipating the needs of the client and working to exceed their expectations.
Develop an active, repeat customer base and maintain accurate, detailed clientele book.
Develop and maintain thorough product knowledge by communicating directly with brands and collecting appropriate season sales materials.
Communicate with brands to arrange custom orders for private clients and put together seasonal pre-order sales materials to distribute to clients.
Develop relationships with external organizations to identify new business opportunities to aggressively grow our private client portfolio.
