What This Position Is All About
The Growth Marketing Analyst is responsible for developing and executing the company’s overall marketing strategy with the goal of meeting/exceeding sales and margin targets. They maintain a singular focus on the product and customer by incorporating competitive intelligence, customer insight, and business analysis into the marketing process.

You Also Have
- Bachelor degree with a concentration in marketing (preferred), or related field
- 3-5 years of full-time growth marketing experience, preferably in retail/CPG
- Strong analytical and thought leadership (ability to tell a story and action off data)
- Demonstrated experience using analytical tools like Google Analytics to measure performance, determine improvements and innovations, and make adjustments accordingly
- Knowledge of SEO content strategy and best practices
- Shopify knowledge is a plus but not required
- Interest and knowledge of African and diasporic fashion, art, culture, music, and creative figures
- Proficient in Excel (including creating pivot tables/advanced formulas) Word, PowerPoint
- Knowledge of affiliate programming and websites like Skimlinks
- Experience developing a successful email marketing strategy and producing newsletters
- Strong writing and editing skills and the ability to draft press releases and communicate
- Competency with HTML and/or XML, plus the ability to learn our in-house analysis tools quickly
- A history of developing and monitoring a successful social media strategy to grow audience and customer conversion rate
- Background in launching and monitoring successful digital advertising campaigns on Instagram, Facebook, and Google
- Proven ability to work cross-team and synthesize feedback and input from creative stakeholders
As The Growth Marketing Analyst, You Will
Strategy
- Work across departments to develop and manage a marketing calendar to correspond with product launches, sales goals, and external partnerships
- Develop strategies and implement plans for new program initiatives with a focus on trigger campaigns and a more personalized one-to-one customer relationship
- Develop new digital marketing measurement models for everyday engagement and for specific programs
- Represent the marketing position among cross-functional partnerships, presenting the marketing team’s case for program enhancements and new initiatives in order to meet goals
- Work with e-commerce department to analyze SEO strategy and continuously provide copywriter with updated information that they can apply to website copy
- Weekly, monthly and ad hoc reporting on performance metrics, analyzing results and identifying opportunities to drive increased revenue
Social Media
- Oversee external agency’s digital advertising campaigns and occasionally prepare, launch and manage digital advertising campaigns of your own
- Oversee the curate the scheduling of social media posts and work with copywriter to develop engaging and informative social media copy across all platforms
- Find new applications or tools to grow social media following and readership, look for trends and develop reports and suggestions to share with senior team members
Email/SMS Marketing
- Implement strategies and find tools that will increase email subscriber list and campaign effectiveness
- Create and distribute weekly email marketing campaigns and implement trigger campaigns with a focus on increasing conversion and saving abandon carts
- Identify successful SMS marketing strategy and tools to manage and measure results
Press/Affiliate
- Consistent personal press outreach and relationship development announcing new products and programs
- Create press releases, lookbooks, and other materials to distribute to press
- Manage affiliate relationships using tools like Skimlinks and ShareASale and find best way to optimize affiliate programs with key partners
- Monitor sample trafficking for press and VIP pulls and measure impact of product loans and ensure that all promotional guidelines were followed by the borrower
Partnerships
- Develop ideas for external collaboration opportunities that will attract our target customer. Including but not limited to: capsule collections, events, photo productions, giveaways
- Source and reach out to potential drink, music, culture, art, or fashion companies to facilitate sponsorship or strategic partner opportunities that will build brand awareness and drive sales
- Develop and oversee influencer marketing strategy. Form relationships with influencers and organize partnership and gifting opportunities
- Work with Digital Producer and Copywriter to source and evaluate interesting people that will appeal to our current customer base and help attract new customers to star in our original photo and video content series
