Shopping wholesale on The Folklore Connect is a simple and straightforward process. By following the below steps, you can easily find and order the products you need to stock your store and serve your customers.
Apply to become a retailer
The first step to shopping wholesale on The Folklore Connect is to submit an application to join our curated community of today’s leading brands and retailers. Simply sign up to request access to the wholesale platform. You will need to provide some basic information, including your name, your store name, location and website, business email address, and the categories and brands you carry.
Discover new products
Once your application has been approved and you have access to The Folklore Connect wholesale marketplace, you can start browsing products and shopping. You can search for products by category or by using the search bar at the top of the page. You can also filter your search results by price range, minimum order value, and other criteria.
- Shop by category: you can browse brands and products in the wholesale marketplace by the category you are shopping for, across ready-to-wear apparel, footwear, beauty and grooming, and home goods.
- Enhance your search: narrow your search to find exactly what you are looking for by using the filter function. Choose a category to shop and continue to filter through the subcategories available.
- Match your brand values: find brands that share values that are important to you and your customers. Select from principles or communities that are Black-owned, handmade, ethically sourced and many more.
Placing a wholesale order
When you find the product you are interested in and want to order, simply click on the product page to view more information about it, including the minimum order quantity, payment terms and wholesale price.
- Place an order: As soon as you’re ready to place an order, select the product and quantity you want and click “Add to Cart”. Once you have added all the products to your cart, click “Order from Brand” to proceed.
- Pay for your order: minimum payment may be required. You have the option to pay by credit card, debit card, or directly from your bank account. US retailers can use standard ACH payment processing.
- Track your order: you will receive an email confirming the details of your order, including an expected delivery date. Log in to your account to view the status of your order and track your shipment.
